OBLIGATION TO WEAR A MASK IN ALICANTE

Starting today, Saturday, July 21, 2020, it is mandatory to wear a mask throughout the Valencian community. Alicante Valencia and Castellon region

The official newspaper of the Valencian community of today number 8861 establishes new measures in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic

Persons six years of age and older are required to wear the mask at all times on public roads, in outdoor spaces, and in closed spaces for public use or open to the public.

The use of masks in private open or closed spaces is recommended when there is a confluence with people with whom you do not live or cannot guarantee the interpersonal safety distance of 1.5 meters.

The use of the mask will not be mandatory in the following cases:

a) During the practice of physical activity or any other activity with which its use is incompatible.

b) In children and youth leisure activities while staying with the stable group of coexistence.

c) In nature or outdoors spaces outside population centers, beaches and swimming pools, as long as the influx of people allows maintaining the interpersonal distance of 1.5 meters.

d) Venues, restaurants and bars while consuming. The measures of these businesses are emphasized in point 3.

The obligation contained in the previous sections will not be enforceable for people who present some type of illness or respiratory difficulty that may be aggravated by the use of a mask or who, due to their disability or dependency, do not have autonomy to remove the mask, or well present behavioral changes that make their use unfeasible and in cases of force majeure or need.

For the purposes of this agreement, the obligation of use refers to masks, preferably hygienic and surgical, as well as their proper use, that is, it has to cover from the part of the nasal septum to the included chin. The use of a mask with an exhalation valve is not allowed, except in the professional setting in the case that this type of mask may be recommended ».
