Being self-employed is the alternative to working as an employee. Here are the requirements.<\/p><p>It is important that you have applied for registration with the tax authorities (form 036 or 037) before registering with the Social Security.<\/p><p>To register with the Social Security as a self-employed worker, you must provide your personal details (DNI or NIE, address, social security number, telephone number and email address). In addition, you must specify your professional activity, the location of your headquarters and some details of your contribution.<\/p><p>Since 1 October 2018, all self-employed workers have to complete their formalities with the Social Security General Treasury online.<\/p><p>So you must enter Sede Electr\u00f3nica or SEDESS https:\/\/sede.seg-social.gob.es\/wps\/portal\/sede\/sede\/Inicio to start the registration process on your own.\u00a0<\/p><p>Or, from the same Electronic Office you can authorise another person (an Authorised RED System advisor) to act on your behalf.<\/p><h2>Self-employed in Spain : how to register<\/h2><p>To register with the Social Security on your own, you must have an identification system: digital certificate, Cl@ve or the Electronic National Identity Card.
