NEW HEALTH MEASURE NON APLICABLE IN ORIHUELA COSTA

The new measures taken by the Valencian Ministry of Health for the city of Orihuela and districts are not applicable in Orihuela Costa.

The measures in Orihuela affect the municipality and all its districts, except Orihuela Costa and the hamlet of Torremendo, explained the Minister of Health Barceló, who has detailed that it has gone from 120 cases per 100,000 inhabitant from September 1 to 13 to 184 from September 14 to 27 and 431 cases from September 28 to October 11.

The numerous outbreaks detected are also, for the most part, of social origin related to family units and friends and “there is a loss of traceability”, he pointed out; 41% of those affected are between 15 and 44 years old and those over 65 represent 17.2%, so “a significant burden has not yet been observed in the Orihuela hospital.”
